Investing in Our Shared Future Together

At Cycles of Life, we understand the importance of having a place to call home and food on the table. That's why we are committed to helping those in need by providing affordable housing and access to nutritious food.

01

Find ourselves a home in Woodstock

Cycles of Life is currently operating out of the parking lot of College Avenue United Church in Woodstock on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. However, we are actively seeking a sheltered space to provide our services to the community. If you know of any establishments that would be willing to allow us to use their space during those times or know of a space available for rent, please let us know. We appreciate any help you can provide in our efforts to serve the community."

02

Build Relationships

Cycles of Life is proud to be working with Food Rescue Feeding Oxford and the sub-committee of Reducing Poverty under the Social Planning Committee of Oxford to help those in need. We have been identified by other organizations and they have referred their clients to us for assistance. We will continue to build relationships with partners in the community to support those in need by planning fundraising events, receiving donations, and building partnerships.

Providing Safer Spaces

At Cycles of Life, we believe in providing a safe space for our community members. Our "Home First" philosophy prioritizes providing shelter, hot meals, and a welcoming environment for those in need. We are committed to expanding our efforts by creating a 5-stage transitional housing program to support homeless and at-risk individuals.

04

Always Looking Ahead

Cycles of Life is committed to providing a holistic approach to transitional housing. We believe that education on healthy eating, budgeting, and other skills necessary for employment is crucial for our residents' success. We also understand the importance of mental health and counseling resources, and we will strive to make these services available to our community. As we continue to grow, we will expand our services to ensure that no one is left behind.

Land and Cultural Acknowledgement:

We acknowledge that the land on which we operate is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Attawandaron (Neutral), and Wendat peoples. We recognize the enduring presence of Indigenous peoples on this land and offer our respect to their Elders, past, present, and future. We understand there is a disproportionate number of people with Indigenous ancestry in need of the support that organizations like Cycles of Life offer as a result of ongoing systemic oppression and colonization.
